The Client ;
Breffo launched their first range of innovative products onto the retail stage in 2010 with the Spiderpodium – a unique gadget grip and docking station for smartphones, cameras and other handheld gadgetry. Since the launch, Spiderpodium has won a number of design awards and is one of our favourite products to work with. In early 2011, a new addition to the Spiderpodium range was born – Spiderpodium Tablet, which catered for the tablet market.
The Brief;
2010 was a great year for launching the Spiderpodium product range and we noticed through managing the websales logistics that there was huge demand for the product. The focus for 2011 is very much a case of building up a retail presence on the high street. Gadget Show Live is the UK’s largest consumer electronics show, growing year after year and seemed the ideal place to show Breffo and make some key trade contacts.
What we did;
We received the go ahead for Gadget Show Live approximately one month before the show, however working with the show organisers as we have done since the shows inception three years ago, we were able to negotiate a prime stand location. Given that Breffo had just released the Spiderpodium Tablet, slotting in opposite the Samsung app wall, which consisted of a wall of tablet computers, seemed the ideal audience. Coupled with one of our two open sides facing onto the main walkway to the Supertheatre, we were sure to see a large amount of footfall.
Two members of the team were briefed and manned the stand for the duration of trade day with the addition of a third member for the public days, Wednesday through Sunday.
The Result;
A great deal of important trade links were built up throughout the day and once the show opened for the public, some high volume sales were achieved, surpassing expectations. The Gadget Show “Live Hub” requested samples of the product to use during their live product review several times throughout the day, further boosting the profile of the brand.
In the days following the show, the success continued with the Gadget Show television show producers have also requested samples for a forthcoming episode of their popular television show so it looks like the positive effects of attending the show will continue to be felt…
